Four Bites 101’s summer semester starts July 15, with Northern Chinese 101 at Peking Quick One in Tonawanda. 

The $30 ticket is your invitation to learn about pork dumplings, Sichuan cucumbers, spicy shredded stir-fried potatoes, sour cabbage with noodles and pork, crispy jalapeno fish, and poached spicy slices of pork. Plus a soft drink.

You eat, I explain how it’s made, what it’s made of, and where to get the ingredients if you want to make it yourself. The event starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday July 15 at Peking Quick One, 359 Somerville Ave., Tonawanda.
